Equipper gives suppliers a public profile, listing tools and direct customer enquiries. Suppliers remain responsible for their business, equipment, quotes and hire contracts.
1. How these Supplier Terms apply
These Supplier Terms apply in addition to the general Terms of Use when you create a supplier profile, publish equipment or services, respond to a hire request or communicate with a prospective customer. If there is an inconsistency about supplier activity, these Supplier Terms apply.
Back to contents2. Supplier eligibility and business details
- You must be authorised to act for the supplier business or equipment owner.
- Your business name, contact details, service areas and any ABN you provide must be accurate and kept current.
- You must hold all registrations, licences, permits and approvals required for the equipment and services you offer.
- An ABN lookup displays public register information only and is not an Equipper endorsement or verification of your business.
Back to contents3. Accurate listings
You must have the right to advertise every item or service you publish. Listings must fairly describe the actual equipment, attachments, capacity, age, condition, location, availability, hire type and any operator included.
Photos must be your own or used with permission and must not materially misrepresent the equipment offered. Remove, archive or update a listing when it is no longer available or accurate.
Back to contents4. Pricing, quotes and hire terms
- Clearly state whether prices include GST and identify transport, fuel, cleaning, operator, attachment, bond, damage waiver, minimum hire and cancellation costs.
- Respond honestly about availability and do not use misleading headline prices or unavailable equipment to generate leads.
- Provide the customer with your final written quote and hire terms before the hire begins.
- Any booking, payment, bond, cancellation and hire contract is directly between you and the customer, not Equipper.
Back to contents5. Equipment, operators and safety
You are responsible for equipment condition, maintenance, inspections, registration, transport, safe operating information and suitability for the agreed work. You are also responsible for ensuring any operator you provide is competent, licensed and legally engaged.
You must maintain insurance appropriate to your activities where required by law or your contracts. Equipper does not verify insurance and does not represent that a supplier or item is insured.
Back to contents6. Customer information and communications
Customer contact and job information is provided so you can respond to a genuine enquiry or hire request. Use it only for that purpose, related record-keeping and a resulting transaction, unless the customer separately agrees to another use.
Do not sell contact details, add customers to unrelated marketing lists, scrape information or send repeated unwanted messages. You are responsible for complying with privacy, spam and telemarketing laws that apply to your business.
Back to contents7. Supplier profile and public information
Your approved business name, logo, banner, service areas, About section, services, optional public contact details, ABN, reviews and live listings may be displayed publicly. Notification email addresses and private account details are not intended to be shown publicly unless you choose to publish them in a public field.
Back to contents8. Reviews and professional conduct
Do not offer incentives for a positive review, create reviews for yourself, pressure a customer to remove an honest review or retaliate against a reviewer. You may report content that appears fake, unlawful, abusive or unrelated to a genuine interaction.
Communicate professionally and keep enough records to support important claims about a quote, hire or customer interaction.
Back to contents9. Moderation and account action
Equipper may remove or restrict content and may suspend supplier access where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, serious or repeated complaints, misleading listings or breaches of these terms. Approval or continued publication is not a certification of a supplier or listing.
Back to contents10. Fees and paid plans
If Equipper introduces supplier fees, subscriptions or promoted listings, the price and specific inclusions will be shown before purchase. Paid placement will be identified where required and does not change your responsibility for listing accuracy or customer outcomes.
Back to contents11. Liability and indemnity
The Australian Consumer Law and other non-excludable rights continue to apply. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims, loss or damage arising from your equipment, services, personnel, listings, quotes or hire agreements.
You indemnify Equipper against third-party claims caused by your unlawful content, infringement of another person's rights or material breach of these Supplier Terms, except to the extent the claim was caused by Equipper's own negligence or unlawful conduct.
Back to contents12. Ending supplier access
You may stop listing and request closure of your supplier profile. Existing messages, enquiry records, reviews and transaction-related records may remain where reasonably required for users' records, dispute resolution, safety, legal compliance or backups. The general Terms of Use govern disputes, changes and applicable law.
